Budgabulla is by Indigenous woman Mulganai aka Emma Hollingsworth, her work reflects her adventures growing up travelling with her family.
Desert Flower is by Heidi Smith, a Yuin woman living on Gubbi Gubbi land she is the artist behind Elssie Art, named after heidi's grandmother @elssieart. This pretty jigsaw includes Kangaroo footprints, birthing caves and the eucalyptus and golden wattle flowers.
Journey Home is by Emma Stenhouse a proud Ngarrindjeri woman with strong links to the Gunditjmara people of Warrnambool. She would like to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land where this artwork was created, the Peek Whuurrong people of the Marr Nation.
May Gibbs is one of Australia’s best loved, classic children’s book writers and artists. Her love for the Australian bush had strongly influenced her unique illustrations. The Gumnut Babies, May’s classic book about Australian bush fairies, was first published in 1916 and was followed by many other Gumnut stories including her famous creations Snugglepot & Cuddlepie.
When she died, May Gibbs bequeathed her works to The Northcott Society and Cerebral Palsy Alliance. Through her foresight, May has helped thousands of Australian children living with disability and their families.
